Mark Hubler has been a licensed residential general contractor since 2001. Hubler Construction handles remodels, additions to living space, outdoor structures, and the finish work that decides how a room actually looks when it is done. Most of the work is inside Knoxville and the surrounding towns. Every job starts with a free estimate, and the owner is the one who shows up to do it.

Older Knoxville houses often have good bones and bad layouts. Mark handles full remodels from framing through finish, including walls that come out, rooms that get reworked, and all the trim, drywall, flooring, and tile that follows. He will walk the house with you, tell you what is realistic, and be straight about what a change actually involves before you commit to it.
Full bathroom remodels and custom tile showers, built to hold up. That means the waterproofing and the substrate get done correctly before a single tile goes on, because that is the part that fails when it is rushed. Niches, benches, curbless entries, and tile patterns are all on the table. Tell him what you want the room to do and he will build to it.
New decks, replacement decks, and covered porches. Framing, decking, railings, stairs, and the connections that keep the whole thing solid for the long haul. Knoxville weather is hard on outdoor structures, so material choice matters, and Mark will talk through the options and what each one costs you in upkeep down the road.
Turning an open porch into usable space for most of the year. Screen porch builds, screening in an existing covered porch, and full enclosures with framing, roof tie-in, and finish work. It is one of the better returns on a Tennessee house, because it adds a room you will actually use from spring through fall.
This is the work most people notice and most contractors rush. Mark does trim and custom millwork, including decorative squares and custom profiles cut to match what is already in the house. He installs shiplap walls, wainscoting, and pre-finished flooring. He hangs and finishes drywall, and he sets tile on floors, walls, and backsplashes. He also frames fireplaces and builds the surrounds around them.
Some jobs do not fit a category. Mark has built burnt-and-stained board feature walls and custom chicken coops, along with plenty of other things people could not find anyone else to take on. If you have a specific idea and no one will quote it, describe it to him.
Detached and attached garages, workshops, storage buildings, and other outbuildings. Slab through roof, framed and finished. If you need the inside finished out for a shop or storage, that gets handled in the same job rather than left for someone else.
Framing, drywall, flooring, trim, and doors to turn an unfinished basement into real living space. Basements have their own set of problems, from moisture to low headroom to where the mechanicals sit, and 25 years of doing this in Knoxville means Mark knows what to look for before the walls go up.
